Not laughing at all. Probably will make it a special pipe, better than when you first left the shop.

I ended up taking about 1/2 inch off to get to thicker material. I cut twice at about 1/4 inch. The missing piece in the middle is somewhere under my workbench.

Now off for some Happy Brown Bogie.

Lamenting the McClelland blends I loved and are to be no more. St James Woods in a Castello stubby Canadian. So sad.

Got an e-mail on that a week or so ago. Don’t smoke much of their tobacco but still sad to hear that they are going out of business. I understand that it is a retirement choice and not due to lack of business. C & D is not the same as it used to be after the sale and if someone bought out McClellands it most likely would not have stayed at the same standards as it was. I need to look and see how much of their tobacco I have in my cabinet.

Haven’t smoked a pipe in over 30 years, but when I did, I really enjoyed the Danish tobaccos from MacBarens (which I thought were Scottish at the time) and Erinmore flake. Those were two very different smokes.

Now that I see what eBayers want for good pipes, I wish I had kept my Petersons, Brighams, Butz Choquins and Julius Vesz’s. I could buy a nice selection of Riga and Korat razors ;(

That's the whole thing ,I can't blam'em because it's a small outfight that dedicated 40 years worth of love and OCD to their craft and it showed. They desrve a rest. I'm just glad I got to enjoy them while I could. I bought 6 ozs. of one of the remaining blends at P&C. It's and aromatic but that's okay. it'll still be a nice treat now and then. Hats off and thank you McCllend's
