Dunhill Early Morning Pipe in a 7722 Kaywoodie. Not only did I not shave yesterday but I was totally with nicotine. Good to break the long dry spell.
The older I get, the better I was

Thanks Sailor, she smokes as good as she looks! I am very happy that I was able to purchase her!

    Good afternoon, Gentlemen

As promised, few pics of the lighters from around the house. I'm not sure if here's all of them, but at least those i could find.

On the 1st pic there's lighters i've fixed through the years, besides Zippos which i bought as new.

On the 2nd pic there's some lighters etc of my wife. To be honest, i didn't catch most of them but she found those on flea markets & estates without my help. So i just fixed them where there was something to be done. Few table lighters, lady lighters and Dunhill Torpedo cigarette holder.

On the 3rd pic there's another Friday eve starters of the day:
    Stanwell/Capstan/Dark lager

Sailor, Cool stuff! I like it that you have repaired and used the beautiful antique lighters.

Thanks. Sometimes i think i have too much spare time to spend with all these unfashionable old things like lighters or tools.

Vintage lighters, tools, old knives and whatever are like razors, maybe. Once they were important part of people's lives. Then technology took over, making them look old fashioned for their owners. Until someone like us decided to fix them back to life they once were meant to.
I'm not much of a TV watcher so i rather spend my time at home reading books or trying to fix some of these old weird stuff. I find it challenging to see if i can make them work again. There's so many things that has gone to spares but every now and then there's even some success.

Stopped at the corner and picked up a bottle of single malt, something I am not very familiar with beyond Highland Park and a few of the standard "Glens." And yes I live literally half a dozen doors down from a liquor store. I decided to crack a tin of Full Virginia Flake to smoke in my Mark Twain, which is a surefire recipe for a wonderful evening. To round it out I am going to make my second stab at starting Ulysses by James Joyce, hopefully my attention span can manage this time.
