I only try to find something interesting and unusual in any sources.
A week ago, I've seen this post:
Thanks, ChesterCopperpot.
I've followed to the link and found very interesting pipe.
And today I have nice Corn Cob pipe with 8” churchwarden stem and Syrian Latakia.

Pipe: 7769 Kaywoodie

This stuff is the bomb that's all there is to it. No question the best pipe tobacco on the market today (IMHO, YMMV, YGBSM, etc.)The older I get, the better I was

Thanked: 31Originally Posted by KeithS
The owner of Walker Briar Works, Dave, seems like a very nice guy. Walker Briar Works - Repairing Fine Pipes Since 1968 He answered an email I sent him within a couple of hours. He is also taking a look at some pics of my 30 year old Turkish Meerschaum that recently cracked. I'm hoping he can repair it as well. There don't seem to be a lot of "old school" pipe repair and resto guys around anymore. Dave said there's only about 10 or so "old guys" like him left in the states that really know what they're doing. My local shop here doesn't have anyone there who can repair or work on pipes. They just sell pipes and tobacco. I wonder who's gonna take up the art or repairing, making stems etc when these guys are gone...
Hey Sailor, ...wait, that didn't come out right...
Just a quick update on my meer. Dave looked at the pics and feels that it is repairable. I will be sending him the meer in short order. It will probably take a number of weeks to get it back given his busy repair schedule. I've asked him to give me an overview of the work he's going to do on it so I can marvel at it myself and pass it along to you. It will certainly be great to have my only meer in smokable form again!
I'll keep you posted as I learn more.
