I've followed to the link and found very interesting pipe.
And today I have nice Corn Cob pipe with 8” churchwarden stem and Syrian Latakia.

Tobacco: C&D Old Joe Krantz

This stuff is the bomb that's all there is to it. No question the best pipe tobacco on the market today (IMHO, YMMV, YGBSM, etc.)

These days there are only few people that actually repair old pipes here, but i haven't ever heard them repairing meers.

Hey Sailor, ...wait, that didn't come out right...

Just a quick update on my meer. Dave looked at the pics and feels that it is repairable. I will be sending him the meer in short order. It will probably take a number of weeks to get it back given his busy repair schedule. I've asked him to give me an overview of the work he's going to do on it so I can marvel at it myself and pass it along to you. It will certainly be great to have my only meer in smokable form again!

I'll keep you posted as I learn more.

FYI, Dave is a MOST EXELLENT man to do business with... He has made several stems for me and also took my idea of a COB Nose Warmer and made it happen... It is one of my MOST treasured pipes...
