After a brief trist with the dog rockets (cigars) I got up bright and early this morning and ordered up a pound of Cornell and Diehl Old Joe Krantz (my all time favorite pipe tobacco.) Most of what I have on hand at the moment is not terribly impressive, thus the allure of cigars. Don't get me wrong, I'll still smoke the occassional cigar because they are very good but I think pipes are perhaps a bit better as a steady diet. So yeah, I'm waiting on the tobacco barge.

Kicked Up Prince Albert (KUPA) A delightful blend of 3 parts Prince Albert (the National Joy Smoke) and 1 part Blending Perique. The pipe this evening is a 12B Kaywoodie from the 40's or 50's (round shank Bulldog)

Glad to see everyone had nice Fridays. Here's my Vander Elst 1/2 bent Billiard with some Brigham's English Mixture. A Moosehead beer was added to the mix after this picture.

Kicked Up Prince Albert (KUPA) in a butt ugly no name Rhodesian. Mr. Krantz this way comes. The tobacco barge should be here some time Tuesday afternoon. After that, it's on like a pot of neck bones.

    Good evening,

Pipe of the day in the city, at the riverside. Peterson Donegal with SG Navy Flake.

Just a pic from the riverside.
On the third pic there's Sedov (former Magdalene Vinnen II, Kommodore Johnsen). Built 1920 Germany. LOA 117,5 m. Displacement 7,300 tons. Largest sailing ship of the world today (as far as i know).
