This is my Hackert... I aquired this from a friend...
I did some searching on Hackert Pipes today... Some information that I found says the tobacco shop that he sells out of closed the doors... I have a pending email to him...

Any suggestions for a person who would like to get into nice pipe to smoke? I've wanted one for years, just always stayed away, didn't have the time or patience for a pipe. There are so many to choose from, what would be a good brand of pipe for someone starting out? I realize that's a pretty open question, so many things to consider, but something nice just to see how it works out for me. As far as time goes, I seem to have quite a bit more on my hands now, and have developed a taste for old school rites, wet shaving, and now; perhaps pipes.
thanks, don v

Thanked: 7Thanks. I did a quick search and could not find any place selling his cob pipes. There was a seller on ebay going by jacob8706 who has sold dozens of Hackert briar pipes recently. The seller was out of Lancaster PA and I assume that it may either of been Hackert or the Demuth tobacco shop (I think they went out of business?) I just could not find any cobs.
On a side note, you really made that?!? Beautiful!!!

Haven't heard about Buckeye or Alex either. But i thought that Thomas is currently having a vacation in the USA. Guess he must be still there ???
If he happens to walk by, you can always ask You can surely know him by the Harley clothing, razor in his pocket and the pipe in his mouth.
