Not sure about proper translation but i'm just ship engine technician/watch keeping engineer in the Navy.
'Engine whisper' or 'oil drinker from the valley of nuts and bolts' as those ingorant and jeaulous weapons and navigational team folks call us
But here we go now. About to smoke some King Charles by JF Germain from Barling while watching 2014 Olympic/paralympic openings from telly. Bottle of Postrižinské pivo Svetlý ležák on the side (Czech lager it is).
For once i was lucky and got my almost three week off work beginning today. I'm not that interested about watching olympics but might end up watching few games of ice hockey. Hope to see some more of this (only joking):

Sounds interesting and adventurous . I sit in a office all day.
Oh, and my pipe is being shipped and can't wait. I got a baracini and a corn cob to try out along with some tobacco that came with it

Nothing wrong with sitting in office, imho. Without such work the world wouldn't work. I guess every work has it's pros and cons.
Some days are diamonds, some days are stone like they say in the song. Getting older wont make it easier, at least for me.
Back then 25+ years ago i was about to go to university to study Baltic history & folklore institute. Had also plans to start with astronomics later. I've always been interested in history and mathematics.
However, my wife had just started her own university studies and we had just bought our first house. Someone has to pay the bills i thought so i might as well join in the military for couple of years. I already had served my draft year and after resign i thought that i never ever ever go back. Rather eat worms.
But here we go. Never say never. 5 years to go. C'est la vie. Still have no idea what to do when i grow up'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Thanked: 1160I don't care what you say...I just had a talk with our boiler repair guy at work and as far as I'm concerned ,ship engineers are extremely important and under appreciated. Stay in the Military Tomi civilian life is dog eat dog and no security ..least here in the colonies anyway. Still love that pipe too lol. Those ship pictures were great man...excellent viewpoints. Baltic history and folklore eh ? No wonder we get along so well...
Come along inside,We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a betterplace.~TheWind in the Willow~
