Revisiting the Dunhill 965 in a generously packed Savinelli. The tobacco is burning very well and is delightful with a little Hennessey Cognac. Favoring Haddos and Haunted bookshop. Last week or two makes this smoke come off a lot milder than I remembered it. Still nice though.

PAD is calling me to get a third pipe. What shall it be ? I think 100 bucks would be my limit at this point so no Dunhill or Castellos in the cards as yet. Any bargain performers you experienced smokers can recommend?

Guess i've posted pics from this place before. Best brown #2 from Barlings make.

let me explain: today was the 735th anniversary of the city. Actually it is much older, nobody knows how much but it got the stadsprivilegium (borough rights/town privileges) at 1280. There were all kinds of happenings around the city and all the museums were free.

So we took a visit to castle. There were too much tourists and too dark to take pics inside but i saw some interesting pipes and razors from several centuries.
Seems that i'm very good in getting off topiuc. There was also an interesting exhibition about the new film 'Girl King'. Or interesting if you like history. The movie is about Kristiina (Kristina of Sweden, 1626-89) who was our queen back then. The movie was filmed here in my home town.

    Here's the trailer, if interested:

hey guys, I have a very important question for the pipe gurus.... how many pipes a day are too many? I've been smoking 4 pipes a day. one in the morning with coffee, one around noon, another at about 6 and one before bed.... is that insane? Should I be trying to cut down to one a day in the evening? opinions?

Sailor, i really like your town and country photos. The movie looks interesting. I'll have to see if I can find it.

I'm would really like to visit Finland some day, maybe renting a summer cottage on a lake and do some boating, fishing, and experience the sauna.

The question for you is... Is it too many for you?

I'll be honest, I might smoke a bowl once a week or less... But that's only because I lack "enjoyment time" for a pipe... I get my nicotine from smokeless tobacco... So for me, pipes is not an addiction...

With a pipe, I remember seeing old folks with a pipe of cigar in their mouth all day long, but at the same time, they weren't always smoking them all day long...
