I've been craving a bowl lately, but it is just far too windy and cold right now.

I know that there are some reviews on tobaccoreviews.com but somehow i've got a feeling that at least half of the folks there haven't ever even tried to tobaccos they are giving reviews about.

Well I have been on a mad search for SG full Virginia flake but can't find it in the States. No one has it .

Now the Firedance I got from Nosewarmer, he sent me a healthy sample of this one. It is a flake. SG's best brown with a top coat. It has a slight blackberry taste but it's faint and really nice (actually tastes like blackberry). It's a little aromatic but starts with a real good base tobacco so it's a real nice aromatic. Good after dinner smoke it you know what I mean. To me it doesn't have that lakeland soapy taste to it at all. It's a real mild and nice smoke burns cool and long with no bite at all. If I have the chance (since SG is so hard to get) I will buy a tin or two to cellar!

I hope this helped describe it a little Sailor. Now back to my search for SG full Virginia!!! Wish me luck!!

Thanks. This was very useful. I think i have to try Firedance as soon as i find some. Seems that SGs are sometimes hard to find even here.
Just like most SG blends, aromaticness isn't too strong, and that is the way i like. Just like Chocolate Flake. That is maybe my Holy Grail, but i haven't ever been able to taste much chocolate in it. Just some excellent mixture of VA/Burley and tasty Latakia.
Now good luck hunting FVF. That is a fine tobacco and excellent choice when making mixtures of your own.

I think a friend of mine that owns a shop may have some Samuel Gawith Va. His phone number is 573-449-8713. Wayne owns the place and will answer the phone most likley. Tell him Phil told you to call and he will probably mail it to you. He's an old fashioned guy and doesn't take credit cards so a check or money order will do it:-)

If there is a problem mailing it to you tell him I'll pick up the tab next week and mail it to you. Just hold onto them for me. Ok. isn't that far to mail it from Mo.

I might have to give the guy a call. Not taking a credit card or paypal sucks but sometimes you have to do what you have to do I guess. Thank you very much for the number!

It's is by no means a strong aromatic. Just has a good flavor. Good luck finding some Sailor I am sure you will enjoy it.
