Here's an old classic, back to the genre of the art rock album, Deep Purple, "Child in Time":

If you have kids that are teenagers or even twenty somethings, challenge them to identify ONE of the modern day yahoos that call themselves musicians that can do this.

Yes! And they can actually sing without being auto-tuned!

Had a chance to see one of my all-time favourite live bands on Saturday night and they didn't disappoint. It's been 23 years since I bought my first Skydiggers album, and over 20 years since I first saw them live and not only are they still putting out great records, they remain a truly brilliant live band.

    Some new Skydiggers:

(Incidentally, this song was written by two federal Members of Parliament. How often does that happen? Charlie Angus represents a huge chunk of Northern Ontario, and Andrew Cash is from Toronto and the brother of former Skydigger Peter Cash.)

    Some old:

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

    And some in-between:

(in reality an excuse to squeeze some Blue Rodeo in here... Song starts about 1:40 in)
