Not to digress but that "T" on the Rolex a few posts up means Tritium on the dial.
You know Big, you're a bit of a show off, but I'm glad you're ours. Lol. Didn't Rolex use the El primero Primo movement in some of their watches?

I had a zodiac in the 80s. Self winding but felt so big I didn’t really like it much. Wish I kept it for when I grew up..
    Lol..

Yes, they used it in the Daytona. Of course they claimed to have upgraded some of the parts but it was already an upgraded mvmt so I don't know about their claim. They finally came up with their own Chrono Mvmt several years ago.

I've been collecting pocketwatches for around 40 years and wristwatches around 25 years. So, it's just info you pick up as in any hobby.

I have a Zodiac Orbiter from the 1970s. It still runs too though my dad used it for many years and he broke the crown off and pretty well scratched it up. They came out with a redo of that watch a year or so ago. I missed it and it quickly sold out. Their original watches from the 70s and 80s had their SST mvmts that ran at 36K and were very accurate. Most watches even now either run at 18, 21 or 28K. Zenith is the exception.

Big counterweight in it or maybe it was just me but I swear you could feel it turning inside when ya wore it and moved your wrist.

Modern ETA Chronograph Mvmts are famous for having that sensation in it when you move the watch. Some older three handers did the same.

That's true, but mostly just the 7750,which is a Valjue (sic) and don't know if there connected to eta, however I have a couple that you can still hear the router spinning when I put my hand under my head, one of my favorite moments. Real work horse, and accurate also.

ETA pretty much ate up the classic mvmt outfits like Valjoux and Peseux and Unitas and probably a few others. That's why when Swatch bought ETA watch makers panicked because they cut off production to everyone else and then Stellita came along to save the day.

All my watches are mechanical manual wind with the exception of one hybrid eco drive, there is just something about a mechanical watch that intrigues me.
