There is people who have welded their watches into their wrists on car batteries and such. Peeled flesh of their fingers with rings when they have gotten stuck on something and so on.
Yes it's true I've gotten used to wearing one, I got my first Mickey Mouse at about 5 years old,,,I guess.
As far as the car batteries & peeling flesh,,,You just need to look before ya reach,,,,

Yes, you are certainly right about that. But I have to have my phone with me and there is not a radiation free substitute for that.

Have a look at the Invicta Grand Diver 3045. It was one of those 'I really shouldn't but I'm going to' moments. I'm putting some money away (if I can with a baby due in 3 weeks) for a Longines automatic. I'd go for another omega but having seen just what a toddler can do to one when you're not looking is keeping me under £1000.
Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cosy, doesn't try it on!

Yes and no I would have to say to that. If you are careful and think about what you are doing, less accidents happen. But like they say, it happens to the best of us. There are many times each day when one could hurt oneself, some more often and seriously than others depending on profession and hobbies. You can avoid a lot of the accidents, but one day or another it might happen.

Using a cell for a clock is nothing less than wearing an 1880s pocketwatch. You have to yank it off your holster or clip to tell the time requiring two hands or at least one hand. The reason they came up with wristwatches was so you could easily tell the time. Most who use a cell like that think they are hip and with the times not realizing they are throwbacks to another era.

Watches are increasingly being viewed as men's jewelry. Watch companies realize the way the world is going and are going upstream fast. The better Swiss outfits have doubled the prices of their watches in the last 6-7 years. They are trying to become more exclusive following what Rolex has been doing for years and years.

A Sinn for 1200? You must be looking at their bottom of the line watches. They sell watches now pushing 6 grand.

As far as not wearing a watch because it could be dangerous then why drive a car that could be dangerous too. Besides, if you are wearing one of those 50mm Invicta's you could use it as a weapon. Hit someone over the head with one and you'll kill them-in self defense of course.

Yup - I wouldn't expect a guy to go from $120 to 6k lol!! Besides, I rather like the bottom of the line watches! Its like real estate, buy the smallest house in the best hood !!

I wish they weren't all 44's though!! Arg!!
