I bought a Ruger 10/22 in December of 1970. It has a new barrel and stock now, and it has always been a great small game rifle. Probably more than 100,000 rounds through this receiver over the years.

Most of the kids and grand-kids learned to shoot a rifle with this 10/22 or one like it that I bought for their birthdays. Easily the most used Ruger that I own.

Majority of the carry handguns are also Rugers. Definitely a Ruger fan here.

The ruger 10/22 is a legendary rifle. More kids have learned to shoot on that platform than any other, I think.
The ruger 22 handgun series is also great. The ruger single six(.22lr) was the first handgun I ever shot.

On a related topic, did anyone happen to watch the Piers Morgan tonight program on CNN last evening?

The guest, author John Lott, was on the show to discuss his book titled, More Guns, Less Crime in which he has found that violent crime rates go down when states pass "shall issue" concealed carry laws. Alan Dershowitz, lawyer, was also on to discuss the topic.

Well, it was more of a circus than a discussion with both Morgan and Dershowitz as the ringmasters. Whenever Lott tried to explain or offer an opinion based on his findings he was subjugated and ridiculed to no end.

If his facial hair was any more unkempt we'd have to call him a dirty hippie and kick him out!

Hey now, I don't think many hippies owned 12 guns by the time they turned 21

Yes, it was sad, I lost respect for Morgan. If you are not going to listen to the science, don't invite an expert to your show, so you can say you have an impartial show, because it wasn't at all impartial. Double O

Couldn't stand to watch it. They wouldn't even let Lott speak.
