I bought a Ruger 10/22 in December of 1970. It has a new barrel and stock now, and it has always been a great small game rifle. Probably more than 100,000 rounds through this receiver over the years.
Most of the kids and grand-kids learned to shoot a rifle with this 10/22 or one like it that I bought for their birthdays. Easily the most used Ruger that I own.
Majority of the carry handguns are also Rugers. Definitely a Ruger fan here.

On a related topic, did anyone happen to watch the Piers Morgan tonight program on CNN last evening?
The guest, author John Lott, was on the show to discuss his book titled, More Guns, Less Crime in which he has found that violent crime rates go down when states pass "shall issue" concealed carry laws. Alan Dershowitz, lawyer, was also on to discuss the topic.
Well, it was more of a circus than a discussion with both Morgan and Dershowitz as the ringmasters. Whenever Lott tried to explain or offer an opinion based on his findings he was subjugated and ridiculed to no end.Last edited by Fender57; 07-24-2012 at 11:32 AM.
