That is a gorgeous rifle. And the deer looks far better than the water jugs in my freezer .

well we have archery from now till the end of january (with a few breaks like rifle season and xmas where u cant hunt)

muzzloader in october for 1 week any muzzloader, ( i filled a doe tag during that as you know,)

rifle season for 2weeks starting the monday after thanksgiving.( this is our state holiday, dead serious schools close for the frst 2 days of season)

bear season 4 days before tanksgiving

the day after xmas we have flintlock only adn bow season till the end of january. (thats the one u can use a buck tag on a doe)

but hunting around here is scarce to say the lease we have more deer but the way the state is set up there way more land for them to hide and way more hunters than in most states.
our antler restricton is 4 pts on one side unless your a youth hunter. and any spikes unlder 3 inches are doe

best way to get a deer around here ( besides shooting them on a plummy pile or with a spotlight) is to chase or hunt a well know travel area and pick a shooting lane in a thick spot and wait.

Best way to shoot one around here is to have an old pick-up similar to what the oil field "pumpers" use and drive through the pasture like you own it.

I saw this a while back, the WVU mascot ruffled some feathers after this was posted. The story is online. As for myself, I say, Awesome, nice shot! Go Mountaineer's!!!
