I like that Seraphim. Simple but still different and refined.

Cool stuff so far guys... keep them coming, and if you don't have any design software, give google sketchup a try (the normal version, not pro) it allows you to export as pdf or jpg, and most importantly as DXF for the actual cutting. The 3d designs are really cool, and great for getting the idea of your project, but 2d is fine for those of you who have asked me via pm about making designs.
Really cool stuff though, lets see some more of your designs. Again, if you want we can make each person blanks of their own, or just one standard pattern for everyone. We can even mix and match as long as we stick within the dimensional limits.

Not sure if the double lipped tail is quite right. Just a 2d rendering from Illustrator

not as fancy as the CAD drawings, but here's some ideas for a generic 8/8 or 7/8
the box is the 1 x 6.5 space given...
These give plenty of room for customization, filework, etc...
remember the water jet only cuts out the basic outline, we will have to decide and carryout the profiling/grind ourselves...Last edited by Mike_ratliff; 01-08-2010 at 07:17 AM.
