Hey, five days and a wakeup. Hopefully this won't turn into a bloody mess. I'll have a lot of superglue and duct tape on hand.

Utopian: I'm not a fan of anything. The day I root for some team (thing) they lose. After I left Miami, they went to No. 1 in the nation. After I left Iowa, Fry took them to the Rosebowl. Go figure.

Any one think of anything left out?

I've sent out an email with the directions to everyone that has shown interest in attending. I believe we have potential for up to 20 guys. I'll bring some name tags and a sharpie, some snacks, some of my razor gear and a camera. Put on your best camera face, guys.

And I've received some stuff from one of our generous vendors, Mama Bear; I have two other vendors that have said they'll be sending stuff my way as well.

Okay, I'll hit the local bakery and get enough sticky things for 20 to eat. I'll setup the big coffee pot and get some tea water going too. Should be lots of fingerprints to clean up during the passaround.

I'll bring a stereomicroscope if that will help and I'll try my best to stay out of camera range.

I have one too, I was thinking of bringing, but if you're going to bring yours, Ron, then I'll leave mine at home and stick with brining stones, hones, etc. So, be sure to tie a big old string around your finger!

Given the number of people who are supposed to be coming, it might not hurt to have two scopes.
I don't need a string, I just need avoid all complications!

Sorry to say it, but I will not be attending. A funeral in Milwaukee will be my destination for the weekend. I hope everyone has fun and takes lots of pictures for those of us unable to attend!

Crichton: please accept our good will and condolences.

Snow update: all the stuff that landed during the past 24 hours is likely to melt away and be replaced by another coating by Saturday morning. If you some how forgot to drive in snow during the summer, please be very careful getting here. I'll post another local driving conditions update on Friday afternoon.
