    Chris, Mike, et al,

    Have coffee, the not wet yet variety for Saturday. May caravan with or have Randy as shotgun. Picked up thru the generosity Robert Marvy of the Wm. Marvy Co. 24 pucks of their shaving soap and 24 Marvy insulated coffee cups. The first 2 dozen attendees will be thus enhanced.

    May one smoke in the smithy?

    Unfortunately I have to move my status from ‘tentative’ to ‘not able to attend’. I thought I could make it work this weekend but it’s looking like I won’t. Hopefully these gatherings will continue in the future because I’d love to meet other straight’ers. A newb such as myself could learn a lot!

    Well, hopefully you can make the next one. I'd sure like to think we'll make this MN get together a reoccurring thing.


    Wait until you guys see what Jim from Vintage Blades graciously donated to us for door prizes!!!! Wow. I received his package of goods today. In advance....thanks Jim and Vintage Blades!!

    I'll try to take pics and post them tonight for a pre-get together teaser! Nice!!

    I'll also take pics of the Mama Bear soaps from Sue that she donated as well. Thanks Mama Bear!

    Hey folks, there are about 24 hours to go.

    We'll have a 30% chance of show showers after noon and 20% overnight. The weather guy is not making noises about a lot of snow accumulation and the ground is only dusted out here. All the roads are in good shape.

    Snow?? In Minnesota?? In November?? What is this world coming to?? Hmmm, I guess we'll have to forge some stainless and ice temper it. Oops, global warming--nix the ice.

    I am back in town now and hope to see Bruce, Ted, HarrisonFan, Phil Shea and all the others tomorrow. I few guys are meeting at my place and then we will car pool/caravan down to Mike Blues.

    I used to be from Iowa. Think of it as a long trip to visit cousins you don't know very well. LOL
