nicknbleeding, what was in your package?

111Nathaniel, you should post a picture of your Newfoundland slate. Can you get more?

Comforting to know that not just my HAD remission was short-lasted.

I got the three hones in yesterday. Lapped them and experimented with the purple (finest) one. First impression: good quality stone, edges rival the ones you get with a Thuringian. VFM IMHO.

I would appreciate Randydance's opinion on them.

My LM I got from the UK is the equal to any of my finishers, and I have quite a few.

Very nice and smooth shave this morning with my EAB frameback.

    Great hone IMHO.

Kees and episaacs, do you mind sharing the honing process that you used to finish the razors on this stone? What grit stone did you use immediately preceding the LM, and did you use slurry, dilute to water, etc.? About how many laps?
    Thanks.
