I got a little one in the post this morning, 40x113mm with a slurry stone, not shave tested it yet as I got my first coticule in the same box and I had to try that first. Nice little stone but I'll need to spend some time with it.

Mine slurries much easier than the one shown in the video. Purple slurry is what I get.

How did your stones turn up? The Ebay ad claimed "lapped" but it must have been lapped on a very coarse surface as mine is scratched quite badly with noticeable inconsistencies in the surface. I suppose I'll have to take it to the DMT 325 for an hour or so

Thanked: 32Mine was pretty flat also, and the scratches lapped out in just a few minutes with a 1000 grit diamond plate.

Sounds good, then. I'll give it a good workout with the 325 and see how it turns out, then on to higher grits if necessary.

Ok, so I just gave it a good 30 minutes on the DMT 325, but it still needs some more work. It's still got some pretty deep scratches and the results of the "lapping" done by the seller are still apparent. I guess I'm in for a few more lapping sessions in the near future

The slurry stone that came with it. Mine was quite well lapped when it came. I used some sandpaper to improve its surface.

Ugh, lapping is taking me forever. I will say that this is a nice, silky-smooth stone, once it's lapped.
