I got the "baby" 8" x 2" stone and find it large enough...at least a lot easier to use than the dinky little 1x5" thuringian I have.

Yeah, it's not that they are easily noticed once they are among their kind, it's that they show up at the door.....and this one is "international signed for". That $30 shipping just kills my cheap pa german senses.

Allow me to post my vintage LM. I haven't used it often enough to have a definite opinion yet but it feels good so far. I hope it turns out to be a finisher.

I could, but if I started doing that, i would have hundreds of stones pretty soon.

Getting yelled at once in a while by the wife is the thing that keeps me from getting (more) out of control.

So, who has this hone and is willing to put a video of it on youtube while some of us wait for mail deliveries?

I might not have been clear, I guess, but a video like maxim puts up where you get a sense for how the stone is working, how it slurries, etc.

Presumably I'll be able to find out in a week.
