Thanked: 13I'll admit to being really excited about the Survive Knives GSO 4.1
https://www.surviveknives.com/shop
I'm more into bushcraft/survival knives than I am into combat knives, honestly. I know that there's a lot of overlap, but I still just don't like anything too bayonetty. I see knives as tools rather than weapons or collector's items.

I love my Fairbairn-Sykes knife, but it's probably not for carry. Don't try to chop wood or open cans with it either
For everyday carry I like the Camillus Cuda. Not sure if they make them anymore, but you can still get them for pretty cheap on ebay.

I find it odd that I'll see or hear about something I'm not familiar with, and it will show up on the SRP site somewhere. Just yesterday I was watching a show on the Military Channel about the Royal Marines and their history. They had quite a bit on the Fairbairn-Sykes knife and after the show I just had to Google them. Awesome knife. Too bad I live in California, can't have one here. Like I said, awesome knife and the history behind it was really cool. I have a KaBar and it's legal here, if the top part of the blade near the tip is not sharpened. I'm very happy the state has taken it upon its self to help keep me safe from such evil.

Thanked: 4You should also take a look at the knives by Blind Horse Knives if you prefer bushcraft designs.

Thanked: 13I just took a long look at the BHK site. The Bushcrafter looks similar to the GSO 4.1. If the GSO isn't a Scandi-grind, then I think I know what to do...
I haven't found much about the Survive blade's grind. Looks Scandi, but I'd rather see it in a stats listing before tossing $200 at it.
