I'm most baffled about what oil/lotions/moisturizers to use. I straight up neglect my legs now from hating shaving so I think I'm going to come back with hunks missing if I don't start being nice to my legs now. lol

Hello and welcome to SRP! Sounds like your hubby is a very lucky man. My wife won't venture to even try and buy me anything shaving related unless I tell her buy me this for such and such.

Also sounds like your getting good advice for your self. The only thing I would caution is to watch buying all your soaps from etsy I would say I have had luck with only a quarter of the soaps I ordered through etsy. At the very lest I would say to get a proven name brand soap to compare it against anything you get from etsy.

Best of luck and enjoy the ride.

I just hope I got something worth it! lol I can certainly see why she'd be intimidated.

Aw that's too bad to hear. Maybe someone can recommend a good seller from Etsy if they've had any luck. I'd love to find something organic/natural but not a must.

What are some of the most popular brands in general? Looking for pucks I think.

Hey, it's nice to see you on here. Let me know how he likes the gift. You should have time to get it up to him before Father's day! And btw, I didn't put this on the listing, but if your hubby has any problems with the razor at all, or he kills the edge for some reason either with stropping or taps it on something, just send it back to me and we'll get it back into shape for him (once at least...:-)).

DE's are readily available, and you can get an inexpensive starter DE at Sally Beauty Supply, I found some at my local store, or you can pick up an inexpensive antique, that will be built better, off the bay! Some of the New Models can get really expensive (Just look at AoS)

Hiiii! Thanks sooo much for all the help, and it's so great to meet up here! Now I know you're not just some sly guy off evilbay. I was paranoid, abut after all the horror stories you can't blame a gal! That's so sweet of you too to offer. Usually he makes double sure he knows what he's doing before attempting anything, but ya never know!

I'm pretty sure I'll get one off evilbay as you mentioned... I saw a couple like the ones ryanjewell posted of his wife's. The Gillette Blue Lady... anyone know a bit more about these? Or what I should keep an eye out for on the bay? I have no idea where to start. lol Is there a picture bank or database anywhere of razors? I know I definitely want an older one that's all metal, I hate plastic stuff... and pretty never hurts. lol

I just read your ebay message and thank you so so so so so so much! I'm so excited, you are wonderful! And it's so cool me and your wife have the same name!

Oh and I seen some Gillette Blue Lady razors on evilbay as you call it. (I'm going to steal that line BTW. I'm sure my wife thinks it is evil as I keep buying from it.) I've never tried one and neither has my wife.

A razor that my wife has is a Merkur 23C long handle. I'm not sure where to suggest in the US to pick it up, but they can be had in around the $35 mark for a new one.

Oh! Thanks for the websites too! I want to try them all now. You fellas are some serious enablers. haha

Anyone know any shave soaps that smell like a pine tree? Looooove pine. Or really grassy/hay/wood/fire place smells. It's hard to find a smell like them that's really spot on.
