Many Scandinavian ancestors here so I am sure a lot of our traditions are the same. My oldest son just married a girl of Mexican decent. The food at the wedding was wonderful. I look forward to their customs and cuisine being introduced into our family.
I'm a Lutheran of mostly German descent although my paternal grandfather was Norwegian. In my church here (German Lutheran) we have Lutefisk at the Christmas Smorgasbord. I usually cook it and I don't find that it smells strong at all. So maybe my nose got the Norwegian genes. And jah, I like Lutefisk. Those of us who can claim some Norwegian ancestry are becoming fewer in number all the time. Which means there is more Lutefisk for me! I'll give the Krauts credit, almost all of them will try it, in a way that makes it a kind of annual "right of passage", but few of them actually like it. And speaking of eating it with "accessories", my Norske grandfather always rolled his Lutefisk up in a piece of Lefse kind of like a Norwegian Burrito. The salsa was nothing but melted butter.

Two eggs in a hole + black coffee. Yum!
Of course there's plenty of black pepper on there.

One eyed jacks on Dave's killer six grain buns, fried Mushrooms,Greek Yogurt w/blue berries and honey and a little iced coffee. This really is getting to be my favorite way to do eggs,I just love it and the buns work out better than the bread for neatness and appearance I think....
