Random question of the day: what is your mortar & pestle made out of?? It looks like it has some translucent qualities... wouldn't that also make it a softer material, not ideal for such a use?
Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

I don't know for sure it was a gift a while ago. I think it is onyx. That would be of a similar hardness as granite.

Looks good but you don't strike me as the type to buy a flour mix to add your milk, eggs, yogurt and jam to.....

Sort of reminds me of Stone Soup.

I will add that I have made plenty of cakes from scratch in my pro cooking days and these are every bit as good and compared to the majority of box mixes out there including Bisquick, I would take these any day. They are not weak in the knees at all and I never get a carb crash off these unlike most mixes. These pass the test with flying colors . And I even wrote the company to praise them and got several prompt friendly replies from the owners. Good folks with good product.

I am laughing at myself when I say this......

Why bother to cut the egg when you can take a bite of that an then the bread? Or roll the whole egg in the bread?

If I was paying$50 for this in a diner then I can try to understand the theory of value added.

    Eggs and toast!
