Toast two ways: with hard boiled egg (and plenty of pepper) and with blackberry jam. Side order of espresso, black.
Good morning y'all!

Your stack of toast reminds me of a phase I went through when I was single.
For breakfast it was a couple of toasted peanut butter sandwiches.
I then packed a couple of sandwiches for lunch.
And then made a couple more sandwiches for supper.
A loaf of bread a day was not uncommon.

Ouch! That's worse than my days of living on my own! Pffft, I'm too dang skinny to be able to eat like that. Incidentally, my diet back then had a lot in common with this thread hehe.
Breakfast food is generally more nutritious by weight than other foods. It also usually requires the least amount of effort. That was perfect for my 18 year old self, with no microwave, and a budget of $20-$40 for food a week. Working at (and walking for transportation) a grocery store, I was able to get enough of a given staple item, when it was on sale, to last a month (when it would go on sale again).
I got real good at reading the instinctual signals my body sent. Craving protein= buy some jerky. Strong craving, but can't tell what in blazes it might be?!?= buy some ice cream (that one took over six months to nail down!). I also supplemented my nutrition with some vitamin fortified orange juice.
Oh yea. Did I mention that I'd eat breakfast food for two out of three meals? Cause that was totally a thing...Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

I posted this in the recipe box. If you like a good waffle, this is it.
Waffles – Best Version
350 g pastry flour
50g malted milk powder
10g sugar
3.5g salt
4g baking soda
7g instant yeast
620g milk
115g melted butter
100g eggs
Sift the flour, malted milk powder, and baking soda into a mixing bowl. Add the yeast and salt to the dry ingredients. Add the sugar to the milk and heat the milk to 104 degrees. Add the melted butter and egg and whisk to combine. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and combine with a whisk. Allow the yeast to rise for about an hour or more. The longer the yeast is allowed to ferment, the better the texture of the waffle. Heat a waffle iron and cook for about three minutes.
