Another installment of breakfast for dinner.

French toast with maple syrup. I made the bread last night, baking two loaves. I have a third ball of dough in the refrigerator to bake in the morning.

Wow, you just upped the ante with the gorgeous photo.
It reminds me of some of the local sugar bushes we visit during winter.

The breakfast was part of my annual winter camping trip. I have posted this menu before with soft boiled eggs instead of hard boiled eggs. I was inattentive and let the eggs go too long.

The bread was dipped in bacon grease for added calories; needed the extra calories to handle the rough terrain we crossed yesterday.

Ha! Honestly, it was in the mid-30s for the overnight low which is a good temp for sleeping.
