    Yes, it is really fun to make your own! Vary the ingredients as you want. Let us know what you decide on the salt.

    Salt is fun and neccesary but over done.

    Mixing your own allows you to limit or adjust to what ypu want

    Agreed! As I've grown older I found that I really don't need or want to have as much sodium----

    Made a couple Boules...to go with the Guinness Beef Stew tonight.

    For 2 loafs ....1500 grams of bread flour

    75% Hydration = 1125 grams of water

    2 1/2 % salt ,...= 37 grams

    Bake for 20 minutes @500 degrees

    Then bake for 20-25 minutes to Brown ....after lid is removed

    Forgot the starter....20% = 300 grams
