I decided to use up the remaining Golden Delicious Apples to make Applesauce.
Apples:
Cut up and ready to cook:
I used some of my bamboo stackable steamers:
No pics of the cooked pieces but I ran them through my Kitchen Aid Attachment:
The attachment removed all of the seeds, stems, skin etc and left me with this:
I ended up with 8 pints of applesauce:
The applesauce will be part of my Christmas Presents to my kids, along with jams, pickled asparagus, wedding ring pickles and of course some smoked meats.
Thanks for looking! :Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Thank you, it's my very first lattice pie topping.
I don't know what's changed but 20 years ago I could whip out a crust no sweat and these days I struggle. My friend Carolyn is a fantastic baker but she doesn't like to share but she did share her pie crust recipe. I still struggled and she said "Roy, I don't understand, I'll make 20 pies a day with that recipe and don't have any problems."
I told her she just had 'The Gift' and I don't
I gave her a quart of my home canned apple pie filling to try, I think she's using it for today but I haven't heard. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
