Conbo??
Well I think this is a 'Combo' post. It could go in several Threads but here it is--
I decide to have a go at making a 'Berry Syrup' and since I had Blueberries in the freezer from when they were on sale I decided to play.
I started with 6 lbs of berries. Long story made short I ended up with Five 16 oz bottles and a partial bottle.
The bottles were filled to 1/2" from the top for water bath canning for 15 minutes:
You can see how the hot liquid shrank as it cooled:
I didn't make my 'From Scratch' Waffle Batter but did 'Super Charge' some Krustez----
And I used the partial bottle to top it with---
I found it very good. I'm sure the kids and friends will enjoy it as well.
Thanks for lookingOur house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I'd like your waffles and some of that blueberry syrup over them for brunch in the morning (and a side of bacon too!). Seriously, looks great, Roy!
There are many roads to sharp.

Thanked: 4206Decided to make up some cookies with the weather cooling off.
Used a simple recipe for choc chip walnut but swapped out skor bits for the walnuts and used maple infused butter instead of regular butter. All other components of recipe followed.
See recipe below.
And the results 10 minutes later.
The recipe above claimed 24, I got 36 and they are quite tasty. Got that sugary crispy edge but soft centre still.

Those cookies look and sound good.
I'm kind of funny in that I don't like a lot of chocolate chips in my cookies. I use the Toll House recipe with real butter and only 1 cup of chips.
Here's the link to the recipe:

However years ago I started making chocolate chip cookies and when I went to fold in the nuts and chips I found I was out of both----------------
Well I didn't want to go to the store so I just made the balls and baked them. They spread out more and were much thinner and my thoughts are that the chips and nuts help keep everything in place. Anyway they are the best butter cookie I've ever eaten.
Years ago the church had a cookie sampling and recipe swap and I sent what I call Chocolate Chipless Cookies with the wife. She got rave reviews and had to promise to print out or email the recipes as she didn't have enough.
I've still got a couple of slices of apple pie that I bakes but once those are gone I'm thinking of making some cookies---

I'll confess to be a Carnivore and many times I'll just have some kind of meat dish for supper but tonight I wanted something that I haven't had in quite some time and that is 'Fried Rice'.
So here's what I came up with: Shrimp/Ham/Egg/Onion/Green Pea--Fried Rice

Well I didn't bake cookies I made bars instead.
I made the chocolate chipless recipe but toasted some pecan and walnut meats then once cooled I ran them in my food processor until they were a finely ground meal and added that and some dried currants. Came out nice. I did turn them 1/2 way through their cooking time as my oven heats very unevenly.
I cut the hard edges off and have been snaking on those
Some of the bars are in the freezer the rest in Tupperware waiting to be eaten.

Thanked: 4206Tonight I did up an apple inspired dinner for the misses as she’s under the weather.
These recipes from the game of thrones cookbook my daughter bought me a few years back.
Ground pork with carmelized onion pie, topped with sliced apples and cheddar cheese under the top crust.
Baked apples stuffed with dried cherries and brown sugar covered in an apple juice and maple syrup reduction.
Comfort foods for chilly evenings.
