    Default Pizza! Pizza!

    I had a hankering for some pizza last night so I made one.

    While I have a very good recipe for the dough I cheated and bought some pre-made refrigerated dough and had at it. I also cheated and used bottled sauce.

    I like the wire rack, there used to be a place that had take and bake pizzas and it was long before Poppa Murphy's got here but they recommended those racks and sold them.

    Anyway I wasn't all that fussy about how round the dough was--here's the sauce and shredded mozzarella;

    I don't think I've contributed here yet. Last week was Gateau St Honore.

    I stumbled upon this and I don't know how long the link will work. I will confess to having a Garlic Press but none of the others shown--

    I agree with most of them. But a salad spinner?

    Trying my hand at a CopyCat rendition of Campbell's Bean and Bacon Soup.

    Not bad but still needs some work. With that said the grandkids will love it!

    Is everybody hanging here these days or are we working off of two threads? Anyway, I picked up these beautiful beets yesterday. I like beets and goat cheese. They could have been served as they were, roasted and dressed in a vinegarette. But as part of a composed salad the dish stands on equal footing with everything else that followed. Not a side salad or an afterthought. And making a big, substantial salad like this fills in for a meal and stretches the menu out over the whole day.
