I'm a simple guy. Just sit me in a corner and leave a bucket and a bottle of Powers. Sometimes (when it's on sale at BevMo) I'll go with that Bushmills 10.

    Depends I guess.

On the beach I take coconut water and Johnny Walker Black (1 to 3 ratio coco to JWB) and put it in a large Thermos over ice...I learned about this from a visit to Margarita Island off the coast of Venezuela...it is usually consumed in tandem with many many beers and/or Caipirinhas. (best vacation ever)

At a ball game... beer any beer as long as it's cold and wet.

Dinner... A Hendricks martini with a slice of cuke for before...wine for dinner...and a Glenlevit 12 for after (I'm not much of a scotch snob).

When in New Orleans... Hand Grenades, Zazeracs, Hurricanes, Rum and Coke and all manner of tasty and refreshing cocktails and of course, beer to go with most dinners.

    Hope that helps.

Hummmm... Nowadays I love a good scotch, took a while but I have developed a taste for it. I like all kinds but really seem to enjoy Glen Breton (technically single malt whiskey as it's not from scotland but from Nova Scotia...) and Glen Morangie extra rare.

When I feel like being less sophisticated and have a beer with the boys then it's a Alexander Keiths India Pale Ale... The pride of Nova Scotia!

Ofcourse when I can get my hands on it Mead (honey wine) is also a nice treat.

Easier question would be, what don't I drink?

Answer; fruity mixed drinks with umbrellas and ouzo.

Usually I drink beer when I'm out. I'm lucky because I live in a place where beer is taken seriously. Most bars and restaurants have a very good selection. If I'm going to drink liquor, I generally do so at home where it's not only affordable, but the bartender (me) makes my drink exactly the way I like it.

Generally speaking, my favorite drink is something I invented myself. It's called a Sicilian. It's two parts vodka from the freezer (generally Monopolowa) one part chilled dry Marsala wine, a couple of kalamata olives and a splash of the brine. Served in a martini glass. It goes great with Italian food.

Elliette has been drinking something my mother invented last time she was in Italy. In a tall glass with ice, filled with half proseco and half seltzer, a shot of Aperol, a shot of Campari, and a wedge of blood orange. Otherwise, she hits up her single malt collection.

If i'm out and about with the woman, I'll have rum n cokes or jack n cokes. When i'm at home, and actually can afford it, I really enjoy JW Gold Label. love that stuff. Also, I did have Blue Label on one occasion, when out in celebration for finally getting a new job/dream career after a year of being without a job. Needless to say, i was happy lol
