Thanked: 1160MMM breakfast....gods eternal gift to eating mmmmm....I love breakfast. As for the sun tea...yeah..they say ya gotta set it in the sun, bah....same same. However ya make it,steeped is steeped and iffen it works then huzzah I say. I'm gonna try that Lemony/limey thing though.that sounds tasty. So Mick...yer gonna hate this.Off topic here...But...I was at the grocery store today and in the magazine section they had a nice hardcover book on the new Hobbit movie.Color pics and character descriptions. I didn't buy it but I damn near read the whole thing right there ha ha. Thought of you though mate. When we get old and farty, whattya say we both retire in Hobbiton eh ? You bring the fam what's left and I'll bring my cats ashes and we'll sit out on the porch smoking our Petey's and drinkin Cider..there will be some cheese and sausage involved as well I suspect. sound good ?

Re: Tea anyone ??!!
I used to make iced tea the way you are doing it Mick (even bought this fancy jug to do it in - I'll get a photo later) but I found it made the tea bitter my guess is from too much of the tannins coming forward, especially with green tea varieties.
I found NBs method gave a better flavour in the drink buy brewing a pot of hot tea then adding water to that and chilling after it has settled to room temp.
I will keep trying the cold steep method though I might find I tea that I like done that way eventually :-)

Thanked: 1160Question...: How many SRP dudes does it take to make a pot of tea. Answer: Depends...first we gotta discuss the crap outta it,then draw up plans and buy the latest gadgets. Then we gotta take pics of everything. Hmmm....the world may never know ! The 9th wonder of the world....

Thanked: 983Yep I gotta agree with Steph on several accounts here. Breakfast is gods gift. We will both retire to our own personal Hobbiton smokin' and drinking Cider and in general shootin' the $h!t, or at least get a chance to do it in some form of holiday visit or something. Instant tea is utter cr@p.
As for making iced tea, Luke, I found the opposite to be true for me. Hot brewing made it bitter for me (but I did get told what I was doing wrong, and it did improve considerably when I did it right). My current method is, in my opinion, working well for me.
