Thanked: 198don't know about that Mick, i guess it depends on the tea. the tannin in green tea upsets my stomach as much as milk does. its for that reason i make a habit of staying away from green tea. now China blacks and pu-erh's, they are not safe around me.

Thanked: 198slicey, i was a hard core coffee person for a long time. my mother referred to me as a coffee snob, in so much as i was roasting my own, constantly searching for the perfect cup of Joe. it has been over a year and a half since i had a cup of coffee, if you go back thru the pages of this post you will see when i announced that i had quit drinking coffee all together, and to be honest, i don't really miss it. i especially don't miss the heartburn i was getting. i was drinking about 3 pots a day on average when i gave it up. if you want a good tea to try to give you the in your face taste and wake-up call try a pot of lapsang souchong, i promise you will be surprised

Thanked: 983Come to Australia then. Plenty cool enough to drink hot tea here. Well in these lower parts of it anyway, and maybe only for another week or two before all this nice cold weather starts to warm up again. Winters are just too damn short here . Good thing we drink tea in the middle of Summer here as well, otherwise I'd only ever get in a half dozen cups the whole year.

Thanked: 983So do I for 11.5 out of every 12 months...;D. I have been a bit of a blaspemer of late though. I got given one of those fancy cafe style home cappuchino coffee machines and so I've been playing with that and drinking more coffee than normal. My coffee/tea sringking has gone from about 50/50 to 75/35. I daresay that will change soon though. Too much damn work in clean up. Tea is (or at least is the way I do it) easier.
