Thanked: 37I love Assam type teas also. If you like Assams and Ceylons I recommend Harney & Sons (they're in the USA, have a good site, good service). They have a few varieties of Assam/Ceylon blend. I'm at work now and will have a cup of öne of these blends which they call Orange Pekoe. It's a very nice bold lef tea for everyday use, not too strong or too light, you can add milk if so desired. I also keep at home for an everyday drink in loose tea form their organic Assam. Upton Tea (also in the USA) has a great variety of Assams in many gradings. Both of them have gret Keemuns also, and Assam/Keemun blends. I have tried Lapsang Souchong but I wouldn't drink it every day. We have excellent cofee here in Puerto Rico, so I buy from local producers. I'm a fan of vietnamese black tea. I've bought some (Upton and TeaGschwender from Chicago) and it's an in between Assam and Ceylon, and takes milk well.

Thanked: 1160Well ...I can tell you that I learned that most of your british teas and especially breakfast blends are made with assams, ceylonsand kenyans. They are more heartier teas.Malty might be a good way to describe them. Also if a tea is sri lanakan,it's a ceylon.Ceylon was the old name for Sri Lanka. Currently sippin on some Kusmichoff Prince Vladimere Blend. Chinese Black tea with Bergamot ,citrus, vanilla and spices....Good stuff man ! Got some Anastasia on order.Bergamot with lemon,Orange blossom and chinese black tea.Lookin forward to it.

Monkey Picked Oolong from Teavana is amazing! Love it! I usually put a little sugar in the raw in there or some German rock sugar if I have any.

I liked the Monkey picked Oolong but it was a little more mellow than I like my Oolongs. Teavana and The Art of Shaving both opened at the same in my local mall. It's dangerous for my wallet now because I'm looking at new green and black teas then seeing if they possibly have anything new to cater to my new obsession in shaving. I should probably avoid the mall at all costs now.

Thanked: 820-25 cups per day might be considered a bit excessive. I like tea in the afternoon. Usually Darjeeling first flush if I can get it.
