Thanked: 1160Tea a La Rus
Well guys, after a long while being outta the loop,I'm back. Having a nice glass of Kusmi tea ,Bouquet de Fleurs No.108. According to Kusmi,Czar Nicholas II drank this blend right up to the time of his end. Good stuff. Russian blend of China and Ceylon and Indian teas with scents of bergamot, lemon, lime.orange, mandarin and flowers. The glass is called a Podstaccanik . I love drinking tea this way . I just need some good Zakuska to go with it and a nice devotchka wouldn't hurt neither wink wink nudge nudge say no more !

Thanked: 2I'm pretty well a hard core coffee drinker, I love the stuff and I'm really just not right unless I've had my trusty double shot long black espresso in the morning.
I do try to avoid coffee in the afternoon and evenings and I often find myself having a bit of a tea craving (curiously almost always at four PM which apparently is the traditional "high tea" time).
It may be a bit "common" but I usually go for a Twinings traditional afternoon tea, that or a Russian caravan, occasionally an Earl Grey
I really like making a pot of tea, mainly because it gives me an opportunity to use my hand made ceramic tea pot which I just love.
I absolutely love hand made ceramics.
Very fond of those dirty bird scuttles for that reason.

Not sure what you mean by common ? But you might try Republic of tea for some of these blends i.e Earl grey. No offense ,but Twinings in the tea world is like the generic store brand of coffee . You will notice the difference right away and may find your tea drinking experience even better. Kudos on the handmade pot.I'm a fan of good homemade pottery . Also , you will notice with a good grade of tea, that the caffiene which helps you in the morning is kinder and gentler but will still get you going without smashing your brain into a wall . No lie. Tea caffiene is different than coffees. Either way though.....welcome to the tea world .

Thanked: 983Not to mention the tannins in tea toughen yer guts from the inside, making it far more easier to handle more coffee without the acid reflux later on ...
