I'm eagerly awaiting my tea order, which includes a new pot.
I've seen a nice shiboridashi set (including two gyokuro-sized cups and a...water cooler whatsit...I forget the Japanese) on O-cha.com, which I think I'll invest in at the beginning of the summer.
Talk of this year's shincha is going around, as well. I've not been doing Japanese tea for long enough to have had the opportunity to buy any of last year's, so it should be fairly exciting. It would seem that people buy a load and stock up but I don't know I can afford that over the next few months. Perhaps I'll get a couple of packets of something nice and then plan it better next year.
Problem is that I spend more and more on tea, each month, but there's always something else that I want!

Thanked: 21Im about to partake in a mix that I have blended, all teas from Teavana(I'm a big fan of their store) its a Thousand Mountain Jasmine, Jasmine Pearl, Jasmine Oolong and their Rooibos Tropica, I sweeten it up with natural honey and a bit of German Rock sugar. Im a big fan of the Jasmines if you cant already tell, and its all blended in a big tin at a percent of about 65% Jasmine mix to 35% Rooibos
Have a great day,
Respectfully,
Christian

Thanked: 198Pig, look at the prices of some of the older Pu erh cakes, particularly the ones from the 70's and earlier, now thats an investment. And I agree with you, there is always some tea related item I want also

That looks like an interesting sencha. The colour would indicate a good quality tea but, for a light steamed sencha (I'm assuming that's what it is?), those leaves look very...broken.

There's tea from a 1980s cake selling at £8.99 per gram! That's like...£900 from 100g of tea!
