Thanked: 485No photo but lately I'm taking a good pinch of Japanese Sencha, a good pinch of Chinese Rose Black Tea, a smaller pinch of Gotu Kola, about 2/3 CM of dried vanilla pod and a dash extra of dried rose petal;s from the garden. Very nice!
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Some Kumamoto Yabe Supreme shincha that, particularly when made in this pot, has a very nutty, savoury flavour, almost to the point of being able to taste coffee.
Chūmushicha -- medium steamed. Very nice indeed! Doesn't like to be brewed too hot.

I have a load of tea open at the moment, I'll try and get various photos tomorrow, or something. I've also got a new Hagi-yaki kyūsu on the way (I broke the spout of the Banko kyūsu with the double hole in the lid—I fixed it but you know...excuses and all that jazz), which I'll primarily be using for genmaicha, so I'm excited about that.
I'm also investigating buying a tetsubin, if I can work out how to afford it. Allegedly they do wonders for the taste of the tea.

Kyūsu should arrive tomorrow!
Tonight's teas:
Organic Kirishima matcha in my Hagi ippukuwan with some Cornish clotted cream fudge (what a combo).
Followed by a Kagoshima hōjicha with my meal, in the same bowl (clean, of course).

Thanked: 485No picture from me, I'm afraid (I think it could be seen as odd at my work place to take a picture of one's tea; I get enough comments about my 'cute little tea pot' and 'lovely' tea cup. This afternoon's affair was Japanese green tea mixed with Chinese Black Rose Tea and some rose petals from the garden. This was followed by some Gotu Kola mixed with the Chinese Rose tea and hibiscus flowers...
BTW, a CM or so of a vanilla bean pod cut up with scissors and mixed with Japanese green tea and Black tea is very very nice...Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 485Today for my afternoon teas (which I am really getting in to lately) I had:
Tea number 1
Elderberry berries (1 x small pinch)
Elderberry flowers (1 x small pinch)
Hibiscus flowers 91 small pinch)
Japanese green sencha (1 good pinch)
Chinese Black Rose tea (1 good pinch)
Tea number 2
Gotu Kola (1 good pinch)
Ginseng (1 good pinch)
Hibiscus flowers (1 pinch)
Licorice root (1 pinch)
Lately I keep buying all sorts of dried herbs and things from the health food shop and mixing with the two teas (Japanese sencha and Chinese Rose black tea) and things like vanilla bean pods. I mix it all up in a little Chinese bowl and then put it in my little glass tea pot and drink it from my little vintage tea cup...Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
