Just clicked it and it worked fine. Do you not get a "see more" tab? Just in case, try this . . .

    To quote some one else.
Such incredible detail...as noted on another review, your descriptions make it possible to imagine/virtually taste the flavours for those of us who either cannot drink, or for someone like me that has no palate beyond "tastes like alcohol to me!"

    Aloha!

Hawaii, being in the Pacific Rim and largely Asian in population and culture means that I get a considerable amount of Japanese product sampling. My go-to beer for Sushi (Hawaii has outstanding Sushi) is Sapporo. I've tried Nikka Barrel Whisky and found it to be superb to my taste.... and I followed it with Sapporo. Forgive me. I really do like boilermakers for a quick mellow after a hard week.

I'm not a big peat or smoke fan but I liked the Miyagikyo. I like the sherry cast aging the most. I agree they can cost more. I will come back for some more after more sherry/port cast exploring.

Tired the Hibiki with my best friend last night. Shot and a half each, single cube after a quick sip neat. What a wonderfully interesting flavour. Spent the first half hour just talking about the flavours we were tasting . . . very nice whisky.

    Aloha!

Had two fingers of Knob Creek at a restaurant with dinner this evening. Diverting from my usual Wild Turkey, I do enjoy Knob Creek. May have to pick up a bottle.

Rolling the big 70 today. Have been celebrating... har

Started a Japanese adventure a couple years ago and have been slowly going through their offerings. Recently I have added exploring wine/port/sherry/brandy barrel aged whiskey to the list. I’d kill for a Nikka or Yamazaki $herry Cask. Har!

This year’s main attraction is a Glenlivet XXV that is finished in Oloroso sherry casks. What a treat. Has good balance but with a big, very big taste/flavor explosion on the beginning of sip. The sherry cask adds to the nose and finish, which lasts forever with fruity notes. Great hang time, could still taste it hours later.

The ever present Nikka 21, my favorite on demand.

I’ve been looking far and wide for a Yamazaki 12yr and or older with not much luck. Then, out of the blue (it was sunny & clear, wink wink) the other morning for S&G I checked the little liquor store (never been in) next to the auto parts store and low and behold they had Yamazaki. Not only that, the day before they sold their last Yamazaki 18yr to a guy that drove down from Seattle to get it. Aarrgh! I settle for a 12yr. In addition, what was the best part is they have Nikka 21yr at the best price I’ve found to date. I was driving across the county to get it and it has been just down the street all this time. Life can be good sometimes. Har!!

Next is a pair of Ohishi Whisky, malted and un-malted rice whisky, one brandy and the other sherry cask. I love the differences the wood imparts on the whiskey. Still feeling these out.

I found an American single malt aged in sherry cask. I have no experience with them. Westland Whisky made up here in Seattle. Not bad, still feeling this one out too but that’s what my b-day drink fest is about. Har!!!

Wish I could write more eloquent like Orville. I experience all the stuff and more then I read about in tasting notes but lack the skills to put it to decent words.
