I have. Its even richer in flavor than the 12 year old. But its cask strength and it requires a good splash of water to bring out its best. Its a bit more untamed than the regular bottles. I would definitely recommend it though. Originally Posted by maddafinga

Has anybody tried Tobermory, either unpeated or Ledaig? I'm going to pick up a bottle this weekend, for no other reason than the Isle of Mull is my ancestral Scottish homeland
Since this is my first post in this thread I should add the disclaimer that I'm not exactly uninitiated in the world of whiskey and single malts...

I just read through this whole thread, and not one mention of Dalwhinnie!? One of my favorites, and I definitely want to pick up a bottle of Laphroiag 10 soon too. You guys are gonna make me blow my budget!

Just finished off the bottle of Laphroaig QC that I had poured into the carafe to make the bottle into a lamp for a friend!
Still some Ardbeg 10 and Caol Ila to go through. Will replace the Laphroaig and add some Lagavulin and probably Ardbeg's Uigeadail when we do a border run next.
