    Default Arran 14y single malt

Celebrating the fact that I finally passed the magic 5000-posts mark today with a Arran Single malt
    14 years old and with 46% alc/vol
And of course, a pris of General extra strength snus is always appropriate!

Tasted magnificent after a long and hard work-week!

Makes sense to me. If they let you bring it in they can't make money selling it to you. It's a cheeky marketing strategy if you ask me.

More Glen Glassaugh new make spirit for me. it's getting a dark chocolate quality now it's been open for a while. It's very pleasant and I'll be looking out for some actual whisky from them, although I hear it's not as good as the new make spirit seems to promise.

Poured Tobermory 10 last night. An interesting malt I do not spend enough time with. Different and intriguing. Also been enjoying Dry Fly Distillery Washington Wheat. A nice daily indulgence.

I think Tobermory 10 is great. Enough complexity and a good all around dram. Definitely a bottle that I would have as a regular, but I don't currently have a bottle of it now.
Tobermory's peated offering, Ledaig 10 is another one of my favorites. They're doing something right on the Isle of Mull.

I'm rather partial to ledaig, but haven't had tobermory for a long time. Rumour has it the town of Tobermory is where the kid's show Balamory was filmed, but they've now painted all the colourful houses grey because they got fed up of tourists.

I had a dram of Jura 21 year old last night. It was okay but not worth the price. I would have been better off ordering Lagavulin.

I haven't had 21 year old, but the last couple of bottles of Jura I've tried have been ok but not really worth the price. The last one was prophecy which was pretty nice, just not quite as nice as the price suggested.

I actually thought I was ordering the Prophecy and not a 21 yo. The bill came as quite a surprise.
