Finally friday, and the start of a long weekend here.
Shave prep: It was raining heavily as I came walking home from the subway, so face prep today was just rain water. I loved it
Brush: Omega boar brush Model # 81052
Soap: C&E Sandalwood
Razor: C. W. Dahlgren in original horn scales with a lead wedge, just a hair under 5/8 (16 mm)
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: My own Fougere blend
Notes: Nice smooth shave today, altho the razor still needs a fine-tuning on the hones. It has been a difficult razor for me to sharpen, but it still can shave nicely. Going out today with colleagues from work so took my time going for a nice and clean BBS.
Have a wonderful weekend guys!

Week of June 5 SOTD - Friday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush (Rudy Vey): 24mm Custom Shavemac D01, 2-band Silvertip Badger Maxtom: 15/16" Max Sprecher, 1/4 Hollow Ground, French Point (w/Makume Gane + B/W Recon Stone wedge) Strop: 30/50 laps (Neil Miller linen / SRD Premium IV leather) Überlather: Acqua Di Parma "Colonia" Shave Creme + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber AS Cologne: Acqua Di Parma "Colonia" EdC Results: Today I brought out my fabulous Maxtom. The handling and edge on this razor are like none other. This stealthy beast hunts whiskers much like a praying mantis focused on her prey. Swoosh, swoosh and whiskers disappear (The "David Copperfield" of str8 shaving). I love the intoxicating scent of AdP in the morning. It gently wakes up all the senses and the lather gives whiskers a false sense of security. The tandem interplay of razor and lather provided for one amazingly smooth finish.

Thank you for your kind comments Robert regarding the NF brush, the L'Occitane shopping trip, well I didn't actually purchase anything, but the Wife made one or two buys, and the very kind young lady gave me four mens samples, as far as the brush handle on the NF finest silvertip is concerned i personally dont think it's a custom handle, but there may be slight variations in the finished brush because they are all individually hand turned, I must say I am seriously impressed with your straight razor collection, I have a few vintage straights myself, in fact i'm about to have go of restoring a Sheffield Kropp razor, I have a rather fancy looking German made razor at Neil Millers for restoration, I also have a Crown & Sword and a Taylors 1000 Sheffield razor. and another Kropp Sheffield razor. when iv'e completed the restoration along with the one I have at Neils I will post a few photo's.
Regards
