    Thank you!
It is not the biggest of my razors, but it delivered a very good shave nonetheless

Thanks Amund. I will find out what their shipping rates are to the US.

    Béla,
That Wacker is truly wonderful. Love the laser etching on the spine

    Mikael,
Have a great couple of days off. We'll miss ya buddy. The "De lol me" looks absolutely marvelous and if her performance was up to par with her looks, then you have a gem on your hands. Congrats

It's so nice seeing you around these necks of the woods. Great shot and SOTD btw.

This razor is a family heirloom so its special for that reason, but it is also a fantastic shaver.

I see...I guess because of the similar inlay on the scales. Well, seems like you brought out and used the Long Life yourself. A great heirloom for sure.

BIG +1 GI. In fact, I think we should make it 5 day weekend and 2 day workweek, LOOOOL. Great shave to start your day though

What a gorgeous Puma Birnando. I love it. Hard to find. Congrats buddy. This must have been a top shave for sure. She's in pristine condition too. I saw one recently on sale (B&B)...she had just a slight bit of cosmetic/manufacturing defect right below the etching on the face.

That's the danger of participating in SOTD, LOOOOOL. But I know exactly what you mean

    Ouuuuch Derek,
Sorry to hear. What a fitting name though. I am sure ATG (Alexander the Great) thought the same about his horse too, LOOOl. Perhaps Bucephalus just doesn't like the left side of the face for some reason, LOOOL. After all, she left the other side entirely free and clear.

    Congrats Amund,
The Friodur/Acca Kappa are a match made in heaven. But, refreshing the edge already (so soon)?

Post Week of July 3 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 23mm Simpson "Chubby 1", 2-band Super Badger
Razor: 11/16" F.W. Engels "Perfect Temper", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Strop: 35/50 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Godrej "Menthol Mist" Shave Creme + QED "Special 218" Shave creme + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
Aftershave Balm: Truefitt & Hill "Trafalgar ASB
Results: I really love this Engels. She has a very crisp and sharp edge. She could be a bit smoother than where she currently stands, but that gives me the excuse I need to take her to my Kiita/Asagi soon and see how far I can push her edge. She tells me that there is room for some improvement. And talk about a sleek, thick and super moist über; the Godrej/QED 218 combo was a pleasant surprise. I didn't think the scents would go well together, but they blended rather harmoniously into a nice refreshing and cooling lather . Very fitting for what's sure to turn into a hot summer's day (Yuuukk!!!). All in all, a very satisfying shave.

I hope everyone who celebrated 4th of July had a fabulous time with family and friends. Have an AWESOME Tuesday Gentlemen.

I wanted to compare the edge it came with, with another before the first got too dull, experiments are fun
It came finished on 0.5 diamond and CrOx(both on leather), which after this shave, feels quite similar to the Shapton 16k edge, both very "crisp". As far as I can tell anyway

Ooo, beautiful scales on that Engels!

That is an Amazing Engels. I recently bought an Engels myself, and they sure can take an edge
I'm sure you will have it nailed to perfection once you give it some Japanese love!!

Must be something along those lines! It's amazing, though. My right cheek is free-and-clear, and my left cheek looks to have been attacked by Alley Cats. I posted this in another thread, but the only time I've cut my right cheek is when Bucephalus tried permanently removing a mole. The same mole that ALL my other razors have just glided right over. Cut the thing half-off. 30 seconds with some TP and not even a weep from it thereafter. Must have learned her lesson, though. Hasn't touched it since.

PREP: Warm shower with face scrub
    RAZOR: Tosuke
    BRUSH: Rudy Vey
    CREAM: Castle Forbes lime
    AS: Aqua Velva/AV ASB
    ASB: Skinfood Lime
RESULTS: Cool as a Cucumber.....or Lime

It has been pretty hot here lately so I needed a nice cooling shave. The CF limes is an excellent cream, the scent is out of this world and it is super moisturizing. I think Im getting the hang of this Tosuke as well . Finished it off with a mixture of Aqua Velva and Skinfood limes and I am as cold as a slushie. Great shave.

GREAT PICS/SHAVES FROM EACH OF U GUYS!!!
