Pre: Aleppo Soap + Le petit Olivier Cream (olive oil)
    Brush: Altesse, pure badger
    Soap/Cream: TOBS Mr.Taylor’s
Strop: Herold Razor Strop (Model 9185)
    Straight Razor: Renaissance 6/8
Astringent/Post: Floid "Vigoroso" + Ransom Aloe Vera Gel
    AS: Lotion Brut, Original
    Cologne: Roger & Gallet Cédrat

    First shave with the Renaissance.
A very good shave. A wonder. Only I have had to use the strop. Very good balanced. Any red point, and zero irritations.
It had a bit of fear because it is my first 6/8, all the others are 5/8, but there has not been any problem. A very fine razor.
The day has begun very well.

    Have a good day

    PREP: Hot Shower
    BRUSH: Semogue 2010 LE #66
    SOAP/CREAM: Cade Uberlather
    RAZOR: Unknown Kamisori
    STROP: Kanayama Cordovan
AS: Sabon + Vintage Knize Ten
    COLOGNE: The Knize Ten
RESULT: The Cade performed as expected. The kamisori is still an uncomfortable shave for me, but I got a nice smooth shave despite the awkwardness. In fact, some areas of my face feel as if they've never had hair. The shave was topped off with a classic leather/lavender accord from the Knize and I'm ready for work!

Hmm, I thought to myself - what can I hone up next?
Then I remembered this little seven day set at the back of my cupboard, so out came the Coti/BBW combo and on went the hot water.
What a lovely shave from this little number, takes a wicked edge as well - now I've just got to hone up the other six (knew there would be drawbacks )

    .

Razor:José Monserrat Pou, Medallon Taurino 14
    Strop: Felt+Latigo (25/50)
Preshave: Truefitt&Hill Ultimate Comfort shave oil
Brush:Semogue Owners Club, Finest badger 2 band
    lather:Comptoir des Savonniers
    AS: Mennen Green Tonic
    EdT:Ach. Brito, Lavanda
Comments:I wanted to try the new soap of the Comptoir des savonniers, a little soap store in Biarritz. A thick lather, but not the glide andd moisturizing features of some of the tops soaps (MdC, MWF,.,,) very simmilar to La Toja, the scent is very subtle, almost unscented. The Semogue SOC gives always the best of a soap, and today I have enjoyed a great lather for the shave. The Medallon Taurino has no mercy, no matter with 2 day bear a nice shave finished with the freshness of the limes and lavender.

    Prep: Hot Shower/Hot Towel
    Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
    Brush: Comoy Badger
Uber: Tabac Soap, Tabac Cream, Glycerin
    Razor: Simmon's Barber's Pet 5/8
    Astringent: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel
    Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
    A/S: Old Spice
After getting rained on quite a lot at work today, I decided to shower and shave as soon as I got home this afternoon. The kids were watching TV and I took my sweet time, enjoying the Tabac Uber with a slow and precise 3 pass shave.
A fantastic shave and a Ultra smooth BBS was the result
Just for the icing on the cake Jack came to the Shave Den just as I was finishing up and asked to look at my DE's (no blades in of course) and then inspected and counted my straights in the cabinet. One of those really cool Dad/Son moments.

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird custom double
Brush:30mm TGN Silvertip Premium A in Red & Black M3
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream: FMV custom Bomb
Razor: Maxstum 8/8 french point, ¼ hollow
    After shave: FMV custom
    EDT: Cartier “Roadster”

Result: The Maxstum arrived in the mail yesterday and I was so excited. I had expected it on Saturday, but the post office had a “glitch”. I only needed 2 passes to wipe away the 2 days of growth and let me tell you that this was one of the best shaves I've ever had. Thanks Max! :
