Thanks Robert, we had a very nice time, my father was away, but my wife, kids and I, along with my sister and some friends of my parents celebrated with cake, waffels, beer and wine (no beer and wine for the kids though )
Sorry to hear about your friend Rene, that's not a good start to the vacation

Go Big or?????????
Kenny Powell 12/8-RR Artisan/TOBS Almond Cream-DB1.5 Scuttle-Glenn Ey 25MM Silvertip in Red Morrell
Well today was a special day! I asked Kenny to make a razor for me that was huge! I got my wish!! I only had a few requests. Make it in A2, Subtle functional jimps, and big! We discussed scale material and I really wanted to give him free reign to "go crazy". LOL This razor is a true one of a kind work of art! At 12/8, it is not small or light but surprisingly nimble in the hand. I had no issues anywhere on my face even under my nose(yes it's still there!)It is over 3"long on the blade as it overhangs my strop(only tough part is stropping it). I threw the EJ DE in for size perspective.
So about the shave. After a 40 pound pack two mile run today I took a nice long shower and followed it up with a great Uberlather. BBS 3 pass shave and happy as can be! Robert I think I finally have one upped you!!!! LOL. Now I have to figure out how to store it as it's twice the size of anything I have in rotation!! Have a great day all and be safe!

Monday Night Razor: Kropp 6/8 Brush: Omega 81052 Cream: Prof Blighty Black & White Post: Alum, Gillette ASB I gave the Kropp a few laps on my recently acquired barbers hone just to see what it would feel like, then stropped and shaved. The edge wasn't as smooth or sharp as I like, it felt like it had come off a sub 8K stone. I think I'll give it a run over the coticule before the next shave, to bring back the keen but mellow edge I like. If that's the kind of edge the old timers used to have then I can see why the safety razor became so popular! To that end I did a final pass with and Edwin Jagger DE89 and a Gillette Superthin. Regards

Nice two pass shave today. The soap worked up a great lather and I was quite happy with it. I added a picture of the new tower at the World Trade Center. The photo was taken from #4 WFC.
