Brush: Neep, he made me a cigar brush w black badger
Razor: Wade and Butcher
Super lather: Dr harris Almond + Arko
AS: Mennen SB
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean
Thank God, how nice was that after yesterdays mediocre shave! Mr Neep made me a cigar brush and I'm very happy about it, he got the band to be one with the handle (resine cover) and you can't feel it it if you stroke you finger over it. This black badger knot has serious amounts of back bone and reminds me of my old Semogue 2000 boar brush (but I needed to use that one often to keep getting good results, so it had to go - to many brushes ). Also a pair of old Swedish barbers siccors in the pic today.
... and of course, some of this, this morning:

Razor: Boker Red Injun #102
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Corn Huskers Lotion
Finish: English Leather Cologne
Fantastic shave! A couple hundred laps on the strop cleaned this edge right up. I did two passes but the second was largely academic and just for fun. If the rest of the day is as good as the start, I'll be thrilled, if not, oh well, part of the day was great anyway. Lets have fun out there fellas!

After a crazy busy day at work I really wanted a relaxing shave tonight.
3 slow passes with this set-up was exactly that.
Now I'm BBS and feeling very relaxed, almost ready for bed in fact.

Tuesday 11`t of October.
After a wonderful week in La Rochelle, France, it was nice to be in front of my shaving den again Two interested girls showed up when the selection of razor was made, they always look at me with large eyes when the straight razor glides over my face!
The shave started with a warm shover, then 40/60 gentle strokes on a SRD Black Latigo was performed. A 26 mm Thater Rein Dachs did the lather making job like a king in a Georgetown Pottery scuttle, I missed this brush when in France. Soap of the day was Fitjarsoap Telemark, my new favorite smell in a soap, earth wind and fire comes to mind.
The Brian Brown 8/8 Custom in Damascus steel and Ivory scales got me to baby butt in two passes. Usually I have done 3 passes, but after shaving with straights for a couple of years now I find that just WTG and ATG is enough to get BBS if the razor is as good as this BB Damascus. Guess better technique has something to do with it as well!
Aftershave of the day was Proraso aftershave cream. As always a pleasure to feel the cooling effect after a couple of minutes:-)
I see that you all have posted some excellent posts while I was in France, thank you. Robert, I read that you was going on vacation also just before I left for France, hope you had a splendid time!
Good day to all!
