Floral shave. I followed the suggestion of Robert about combining different products and scents and it’s nice. First creams, next soaps.
Thanks Robert.
Have a nice day, gents

Wednesday shave from sunny southern Norway!
Started the most pleasant time of the day with a hot towel on my face. The razor choice of today was a T-I 7/8 with a nice golden seagull and a lighthouse on the blade, bought the razor from Jorunn at Fitjarsoap here in Norway. The stropping was also Norwegian, a Scrupleworks 3" with a leather side beautifully coloured like the wrapper on a Montecristo Sublime from Cuba. Three Sublimes in one picture, the T-I straight, the strop and the cigar:-)
Went the Fitjarsoap way today, and picked the Amber soap from the den. A very masculine scent and excellent lather from this soap. Shavemac 26mm D01 two band performed beautifully with Jorunn`s hand made luxury. After a couple of passes my face was smooth as the silky Montecristo wrapper. Put on some Musgo Real aftershave balm, cleaned up and went down to the Rancilio Silvia to make myself a double espresso. Life is goood:-)
Have a great Wednesday Gentlemen, and thank you for all fine posts in this thread. Time to go out on the veranda in the autumn sun with a good book.

Would you believe 13/16?......LOL It really is just shy of an inch but I don't have calipers or or a micrometer. Also, it may actually be a wedge, I'm not sure. If Glenn remembers the razor, he may know.
Keep an eye out for a box from the US.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Gotta 4/8,

The Gotta is a bit small. You get there in the end but it's a slow process.Last edited by oscarbowman; 10-12-2011 at 01:07 PM. Reason: 4/16 changed to 4/8!! It would be like trying to shave with a matchstick!

Wednesday
Razor: 1962 Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade: Astra (4)
Brush: Altesse Badger
Soap: Col. Conk Lim
A/S: Booster Iced Limes, then Royall Lyme
I'm in the process of thinning out my DE herd and giving all but one a try this week (I'm NEVER getting rid of my grandfathers old DE). The Slim did an acceptable job, but not near as good as a straight or any of my Merkurs (which I'm also keeping). I seem to get the smoothest shaves from my Merkurs and/or straight razors. Tomorrow will likely be a straight razor shave (with DE touch up) in anticipation of the receipt of my new Dovo later this week!
