Thanked: 485Wednesday
First day back at work after the holidays. I guess it wasn’t THAT bad, I consoled myself by looking forward to my workout after work. I spent most of the day teaching a beginner computer class, and then teaching decimals, fractions and percentages. The teachers in the Women’s Prison Education centre I run are still away on holidays, so it gives me a chance to teach again. I forget sometimes how much I miss teaching rather than coordinating.
This morning’s shave was with the W&B I re-honed yesterday as part of the JaNorton 2012 project. It was improved over the previous attempt. I think it could still be better, but I don’t think I’d go back to the 4k again, maybe just the 8?
I’ve been eagerly awaiting some C O Bigelow shave cream from the US, until I learnt yesterday that it’s ‘just’ repackaged Proraso. Now I DO like Proraso, but I’ve just bought a container (in the plastic container, not the tube). However, I guess the same stuff in a tube may be better, I’m still torn between scooping some Proraso out or swirling my brush, it’s really too hard to scoop and too soft to swirl! Should have gone with the Musgo Real or the Pre de Provence like I was going to. Too many nice sounding creams and soaps and too little time and money...
Razor: Wade and Butcher Special Pre Shave: Sukin facial moisturiser on the face and beard in the shower; Proraso Überlather: La Toja ASB: None After Shave: Pinaud Clubman and Burberry ‘The Beat’ Eau de Toilette
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 1072Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
Brush: Comoy Badger
Soap: BodyBar "Little Green Apples" + Glycerin
Razor: Customized Gotta 120 11/16
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel
Balm: Nivea Replenishing
This is my second run with the goats milk base soap and I think the glycerin made an improvement, however I did put a little too much water in the mix. I think I can get it to work well though.
I haven't used the Gotta for a while and wasn't sure how the edge was on her.
I was pleasantly surprised with a fantastic edge, I think I was concentrating too much on the lather and not enough on the shaving though.
Not 1 but 2 cuts tonight , 1 on the ear lobe and 1 right in the middle of my left cheek.
That's 2 nights in a row that have ended in bloodshed, dont know whats going on but I feel like a total newb.
I'm sure its just a slump
Thanks for all the great posts and pics fellas

Thanked: 1072Welcome to the brotherhood, great looking razor for your first post too.
Real sorry to hear your news mate. As all the other guys have said I'm sure this hurdle will just open the door to another opportunity for you.
As far as the Karma goes, I'm sure its not catching up with you. Maybe just giving you some misfortune now, only to be followed by some great Karma in the near future.
