1000 is a milestone, it's amazing me how quickly I'm approaching the same point, my other obsessions tapered out way earlier than this. I see you've changed your Avatar, as have I. There should be a place you can introduce your new Avatar, 'cause sometimes we get used to 'seeing' someone, don't we?

1000 is certainly a testement to how much I like this forum. Most other forums, I tend to not filter my thoughts and end up getting banned before I get to 200 posts. As far as the Avatar, I figured new year, new avatar. Shake it up a little.

    Monday ...

    Pre: Hot shower
    Brush: Omega 49
    Soap: T&H Luxury
    Razor: Mühle R89
    Blade: Feather
    Post: Cold water
    EdT: Moschino “Forever”
    Strategy: WTG XTG
Result: A smooth quick Monday morning shave. The Mühle/Feather combo rarely lets me
down (and if it does it’s more of a user related problem ...)

    Gentlemen:

    Have a great week !!!

Cool JaNorton !!!! late Night New Years Shave #1

First Shave of the New Year and I went with the Bengall I honed up especially for the JaNorton Challenge...

Soap = Prairie Creations Bay Rum
Brush = Restored Old Spice 24mm Silvertip
    Lather = On the face
Razor = 11/16 Bengall Hollow Grind
Strop = 50/90 SRD Premium 1 20/ Jimbo Roo Strop

Shave was 1 multi-directional pass and a clear water touch up.. The results were a clean comfortable shave.

    Strop: Illinois 835
    Brush: Silvertip Badger In Cocobolo
    Soap: Proraso
    Razor: Grandfather's Long Life 145 11/16
    Toner: Thayer's Cucumber Witch Hazel
    Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
    A/S: Wahl Bay Rum
Just a lazy 2 pass shave tonight, but very satisfying and very smooth.
I think the Long Life is just starting to dip under it's optimum performance though. I'll give it a little touch-up and test it again in the next few days.
