Thanked: 485Tuesday
The second shave with one of my “JaNorton 2012” razors, the W&B. I prepped in exactly the same manner and used the same cream (La Toja/Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad Überlather). The lather was a little weak, unfortunately. I wasn’t really in the mood for shaving, it was so hot in the bathroom, and another hot day here plus SWBO had clothes in the clothes dryer (which is in the bathroom) for some weird reason. The place was like a sauna; I couldn't pull the skin tight on my face as I was sweating so much!
I might take the W&B back to the hone today, concentrating on more of a x stroke. It was certainly sharp, but I think it can be better...
Razor: Wade and Butcher Special Pre Shave: Sukin facial moisturiser on the face and beard in the shower; Proraso Überlather: La Toja (sensitive), Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad, glycerine ASB: None After Shave: Dominica Bay Rum

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanks for asking Grant. We're doing great. The monsters spent New Year's in Vancouver so we miss them a lot. First year without them (felt weird). We got too much R&R over X-mas break (still working whenever I could squeeze some time)
This is a beautiful shot José
Jeff,
One month off...Man, I don't even know how that feels like. I am sure work would feel kind of foreign for a day or so
PS: Glad to hear the razor was OK (and mainly you were OK and not hurt)
Ouuuchhh Mike...That's a nasty cut bro. Let it heal for a couple of days before taking steel to skin
PS: I am 300% with you on a better 2012

Cheers,
Robert

I know a bunch of you guys are doing the JaNorton. Very cool! Had hit me over the past few weeks. I decided to hone a razor fully on Barber hones. I used 4 BH of varying grit. Finished on Crox. I brought a back up razor just in case since this is my 2nd time using these hones. I was very impressed. Very smooth buttery edge. Not Jnat buttery but close. I was enjoying so much i didnt even think of using my back up blade. Tiny irritation on the Jaw line on one side which is not too uncommon for me. Strange growth patern
Great job guys.
Jeff im glad your ok and you blade made it out with no damage.
Mike. OUCH! I cut my adams apple on sat and recut it today.
