New Year Shave:
Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Frank Shaving finest badger
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: John Barber, 5/8 wedge
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Cedar Spice Splash, with a cedar/frankinsence base followed by cardamom and cloves, a light floral note and a fresh citrus top
Notes: What a great shave to set off the new year. Freshed up the edge a little, smooth and comfortable BBS shave. The suds were great as always, the splash is fairly new and a great finish to a perfect shave.
All the best guys, and a Very Merry

Razor – Mizuochi-san Iwasaki kamisori
Brush – SABA
Soap – Kiss my Face, Cool mint
AST – Dickinson Witch hazel
Talcum – Caswell Massey, Jockey Club w/ Hess Barber brush
I had not used this one in a while and there has been some discussion regarding these types of blades. I know some guy’s do not like the small razors and that’s OK. If you ever have the opportunity to try one of these they are incredible shavers with a properly tuned edge. Very close and irritation free shave. This particular model is the Mizuochi-san Swedish laminate version. A great way to start off the year.. Happy New Year!
