Once more I've gone to my western style Japanese razors for the SOTD.
Pre: Hot shower
Lather: Fitjar Norwegian Fern shaving cream + Bigelow
Brush: TGN short loft silvertip
Razor: Missile 58 frame back
Post: Alum block
PSB: Vifrex gel
AS: Homebrew Bergamont/Cedarwood/Vetyver
Result: The lather was a bit thin through no fault but my own, but none the less, this shave came out very well; smooth and very close.

1st shave of 2012 and like a bone head I forget to charge the camera battery. I gifted myself a little treat after Christmas. I tired to hold out, in fact I was almost praying that one of you guys would put me out of my misery and buy it before I hit up the already hurting credit cards. Here is my most recent Maxterpiece and 1st shave of 2012:
Prep: hot shower + woody's exfoliating pre shave + proraso pre/post
Brush: Jack Black synthetic
Scuttle: GTP
Suds: RazoRock XXX
Blade: Friedrich Herder Abr. Sohn #45 6/8
Post: alum
AS: Pinaud bay rum
ASB: CO Bigelow bay rum
Cologne: CO Bigelow bay rum
Results: fantastic shave and I feel privledged to be able to share it with y'all.
I wish everyone and the loved ones a better 2012 than 2011!!!!!!!
